Kenny Daniel takes aim at being a top contender in Limited Sportsmans in 2021 South Boston, Va. (Feb. 17, 2021) – After a solid 2019 season in which he finished fifth in the Limited Sportsman Division standings at South Boston Speedway, Kenny Daniel is looking to make more of an impact in 2021. “I feel like we should be a top-five contender this year,” the Sutherlin, Virginia resident said following a December test session at “America’s Hometown Track.” “I hope we can find ourselves in the winner’s circle at least one time.” The 2021 season will mark Daniel’s second season competing in the Limited Sportsman Division at South Boston Speedway, and his third season overall competing in the division. SOUTH BOSTON SPEEDWAY PROVIDES UPDATE ON 2021 SEASON South Boston, Va. (Feb. 5, 2021) -- "South Boston Speedway is very optimistic that racing will return to our historic venue this year. We have every hope of starting the 2021 South Boston Speedway racing season on March 20 as scheduled. For this to happen, the Commonwealth of Virginia must first lift restrictions on mass gatherings above the current 250-person limit. We will not postpone any event until we have more information related to restrictions in March from Commonwealth officials. "We are continuously monitoring the COVID-19 situation in the Commonwealth, including the status of restrictions on mass gatherings, and will provide additional information on our website and social media platforms regarding the start of the 2021 season as new developments come to light." (Feb. 1, 2021) – South Boston Speedway officials are launching a new website for the speedway, a website with a modern look designed for ease of navigation and optimized for compatibility for viewing with any device. The new website features modern design and graphic elements that will provide a fresher, cleaner look and make it easier for fans and competitors alike to find the information they are looking for. It also provides mobile ticketing capability for online ticket sales.
