SOUTH BOSTON, VA. — The top Late Model Stock Car competitors from up and down the East Coast are expected to be on hand at South Boston Speedway late next month.

America's Hometown Track will host the SoBo 300 on Friday, Oct. 27 and Saturday, Oct. 28.

The two-day event is expected to bring the top-notch Late Model Stock Car drivers from throughout the area, including the highly talented competitors who raced throughout the season at the four-tenths mile asphalt oval.

The green flag for the highly anticipated SoBo 300 will wave at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28.

"We are expecting a huge field of cars for this race," South Boston Speedway General Manager Cathy Rice said. "South Boston Speedway is always known for its tough competition and when you factor in that other top drivers will be in the field for this race, it should be quite a show for the fans."

Practice for the Late Model Stock Car competitors will be held from 12:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 27. Qualifying time trials for the race will begin on Friday, Oct. 27 at 5 p.m.

Grandstand gates will open on Saturday, Oct. 28 at noon and qualifying races for the competitors who did not make the field during time trials will begin at 1 p.m.
