THE MONSTERS ARE COMING! Monster Truck Invasion scheduled at SoBo on Saturday, Oct. 1

SOUTH BOSTON, VA. — South Boston Speedway will host a Monster Invasion on Saturday, Oct. 1, at 2 p.m.

The highly anticipated Monster Invasion will feature a Monster Truck show, a high-flying Moto Cross jumping exhibition and the fire-shooting Kamikaze jet-powered 4-wheelers.

The Monster Invasion will feature a host of Monster Trucks, including Grave Digger ®, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle®, Big Foot (the first Monster Truck), Black Stallion, Iron Warrior, Higher Education, Triple X and more.

The extreme Freestyle Motocross performers will perform gravity-defying stunts in mid-air hanging off the back of dirt bikes and the Kamikaze 4-wheelers will roar by and shoot flames out over 25 feet.

The Monster Trucks will compete in elimination round racing, wheelie and annihilation freestyle, which is a crowd favorite, to determine the champion of the event.

Advance adult tickets to the Monster Truck Show are currently on sale at the speedway office and are priced at $15. Youth, ages 7-12, will be admitted for $10 and children age six and under will be admitted free with a paid adult.

Pit passes are also on sale and are priced at $5. Fans of all ages who purchase a pit pass will receive a ride in a Monster Truck before or after the show and will be able to meet and greet Monster Truck competitors in the pit area.

Grandstand gates will open Saturday, Oct. 1 at 11 a.m. The pit party will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. and the Monster Invasion will begin at 2 p.m.

The rain date for the Monster Invasion is Sunday, Oct. 2.

(June 29, 2021) – South Boston Speedway has teamed with TrackPass, the NBC Sports Gold platform, to livestream the July 3, 2021 Thunder Road Harley-Davidson 200 presented by Grand Atlantic Ocean Resort on the streaming service. Those with TrackPass subscriptions will be able to stream the event live. The event will also be streamed at SoBoSpeedway.TV , South Boston Speedway’s streaming platform served by SpeedSport. The pay-per-view event is at SoBoSpeedway.TV and remains $19.99, the same price as other NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series races on the platform this season. New Rules Changes Help Keep South Boston Speedway’s Limited Sportsman Division Affordable And A Fan Favorite South Boston, Va….South Boston Speedway officials have taken steps over the past few seasons to cut costs for competitors in the Limited Sportsman Division. Revamped motor rules that include multiple engine options have been implemented, and nearly all of the various engines have visited Victory Lane at “America’s Hometown Track.” The track’s one-tire rule which limits Limited Sportsman Division teams to being able to buy only one new tire per race has helped teams cut costs considerably. Offering good purses in conjunction with cost-cutting measures, South Boston Speedway officials have made racing in the division more affordable and have kept racing in the division competitive.
